The event was under patronage of the First Lady and the Health Minster of Armenia, charity project was new equipment for medical care of a day care school for mentally disabled children in Yerevan. The concert was organized by our violin colleague Dr. Armine Majinyan from Yerevan.

One of the greatest artists of his generation, Sergey Khachatryan was born in 1985 in Yerevan, Armenia. In December 2000 he won First Prize in the VIII International Jean Sibelius competition in Helsinki, becoming the youngest ever winner in the history of the competition and in 2005 he claimed the First Prize at the Queen Elizabeth Competition in Brussels.
Sergey has performed with many of the world's leading orchestras: Philharmonia Orchestra, London Philharmonic Orchestra, NHK Symphony in Tokyo, Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, Orchestre national de France and Kurt Masur and the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra.
Sergey plays the 1708 ‘Huggins’ Stradivarius violin on loan to him from the Nippon Music Foundation.
